Frequently Asked Questions

  • I started my practice in Ontario so I see virtual clients. My clinical office is located in the Fairview neighbourhood of Vancouver, BC. I offer in-person sessions for local clients and secure virtual (online) therapy for residents across all of British Columbia and Ontario.

  • Yes. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #20466) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and a Registered Psychotherapist (RP #009235) with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario. This dual registration allows me to legally and ethically support clients residing in both provinces.

  • Most extended health benefit plans cover RCC services in BC and RP services in Ontario. I recommend contacting your provider to confirm that your specific plan includes these designations. I provide detailed receipts for you to submit for reimbursement.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help the brain "reprocess" stuck, painful memories. Instead of just talking about the past, EMDR helps shift the emotional charge of a memory so it no longer triggers your nervous system in the present.

  • We all have different "parts" of ourselves—like the perfectionist, the inner critic, or the part that feels anxious. Parts Work helps us understand the positive intent behind these behaviors so we can harmonize your internal world and reduce inner conflict.

  • Traditional talk therapy stays in the logical mind. My approach is trauma-informed and somatic, meaning we involve the body and the nervous system. By combining EMDR and Somatic Awareness, we move past "knowing" why you feel a certain way and into "feeling" a genuine shift in your body.

  • Therapy is a highly individual process. Some clients find relief from specific triggers in 8–12 EMDR sessions, while others prefer long-term psychodynamic work to explore deeper relational patterns. We will collaborate to find a pace that feels sustainable for you.
